Linear Model of Communication: demonstrates communication between two people. What occurs during this communication process is:

1. The sender encodes the message, which is putting together words and gestures that will relay their message.

2. Once the message is sent, it will travel through a channel to the receiver. While it is traveling, it is surrounded by noise, context, and culture.

3. Once the message reaches the receiver, the receiver will then decode the message. This is when the receiver looks into their memory to see how they should understand the message (nvcc.edu).
