·         Studied under Plato

·         Famous for Rhetoric

·         Rhetoric: the ability to see what is possibly persuasive in every given case (plato.standford.edu).

·         Has been known in the communication discipline for his public speaking teachings and abilities

·         He set up a school in Athens called Lyceum (iep.utm.edu).
