Mass Communication

Mass Communications: the context in which a small group of people address a much larger group using any means that falls within the commonly used term media. In fact, the term “media” is more commonly used to address the field of mass communications. 

 
Mass communications utilizes channels such as television, radio, newspapers, and websites in order to send messages to an extremely large audience, usually millions, if not billions, of people concerning everything from world news, to sports and entertainment, to economic and social news. It can be a useful aid in the context of intercultural communication as well (uky.edu).
